Shujoy serves as the Course Director of the Master in Design Degree Course at the University of Madeira, Portugal. Shujoy has 2 section(s) of books and supervised 13 scientific researchers and 3 Master degree dissertations. During his doctoral studies, Shujoy was attributed 2 fellowships funded by the Italian Ministry of Universities and Research (MIUR) between 2009-2012. His scientific research centres around new product development, product semantics, meaning based design, shape coding, virtual reality, design process theory and design education. Shujoy teaches theory of design process, analytical drawing, product design sketching, product design development, theory of visual form, product aesthetics, and design for interactive media. Shujoy's most recent achievement is the creation of the Master in Design Degree course for the Faculty of Arts and Humanities at the University of Madeira, a project which he led as the Person In charge of the Application (PEP), and which is fully accredited by the Portuguese Higher Education Evaluation and Accreditation Authority (A3ES) for a period of 6 years (2023 - 2029).
