Ana Gracinda Alves Ramos accomplished the Graduation in Sports Sciences in 2014/08/07 and the Master degree in High Sport Performance in 2016/07/13 by Faculty of Sport, University of Porto. She completed a PhD degree (2021/01/26) - funded by FCT under the grant: BD/126387/2016 - at the Centre for Research, Education, Innovation, and Intervention in Sport (CIFI2D), Faculty of Sport, University of Porto. She also completed a Post-Doctoral degree in Sports Pedagogy in 2022, at the same institution. Recently, the research group from which she takes part in was granted by FCT funding for the projects: (i) "Ongoing bidirectional feedback between assessment and implementation in educational environments: A longitudinal, randomized, exploratory intervention with female volleyball players", and (ii) Tackling the COVID-19 pandemic social deprivation effects: Reconnecting youth through participation equality and positive interpersonal relationships in Physical Education - effects of gender and social status" applied to FCT Calls for R&D project. Within the area of Sports Sciences, her research interests are related to the topic of Coach Education, Sports Training, Sports Pedagogy, Didactics, Learning, Action-Research, and Long-term Athlete Development. Specifically, her research program sought to examine the influence of combining an ecological and constructivist approaches, using an insider action-research design where the researcher assumed the dual role of coach-researcher, on the development of youth sport performance (i.e., tactical knowledge and tactical behavior). Throughout her educational process, Ana collaborates with colleagues at universities in United Kingdom (Doctor Keith Davids, Sheffield Hallam University) and Portugal (Doctor José Carlos Leitão, and Professor António Cortinhas Trás-os-Montes University; Doctor Orlando Fernandes, University of Évora). She works in the areas of Health Sciences with emphasis on Sport, and Social Sciences with emphasis on Educational Sciences. Ana scientific path is reflected in high standards research outputs, with 29 articles published in international peer-reviewed and indexed journals, 8 book chapters authored or coautorhed, and 15 conference abstracts. The dissemination of the main findings to the community (i.e., teachers, coaches, parents, etc.) has been accomplished through the participation in 20 scientific events (i.e., seminars, congresses, conferences and workshops), with 3 poster presentations, 18 oral communications, and 3 invitations for keynote speaker as well. Overall, the most frequent terms in the context of scientific output are: sport pedagogy; didactics; learning; instructional models; athlete development; action-research; ecological dynamics; constructivism; research methods; qualitative analysis; quantitative analysis; environment and learner-centered approaches; practice learning designs, youth sport; team sports; dynamical system theory; collective synchronization tendencies; motor skill acquisition. Recently, in 2021 she initiated her academic teaching path, as invited assistant teacher in (i) Faculty of Sport, University of Porto: teaching 5 curricular units; and (ii) Polytechnic Institute of Maia, University of Maia, teaching 2 curricular units (role: regent). Moreover, so far Ana was jury member and main arguer of one master's proofs, and jury member of one doctoral proof.
