Ana Sofia Amorim (ORCID: 0000-0002-9392-1081) is a doctorate Chemical Engineer who studied at Instituto Superior Técnico and works for c5Lab - Sustainable Construction Materials Association. She concluded her master's dissertation, “Modelling and Optimisation of Vacuum Agitated Bed and Tumble Drying” in 2019, in an industrial environment within Hovione. In 2020, she joined c5Lab, working in carbon capture and utilization with close collaboration with the Portuguese cement industry. She started her PhD in “Modelling and design of the calcium looping process for carbon capture”. In 2025, she became the project manager of a work package focused on the scale-up of the existing methanation installations for CO2 utilization. She submitted two papers in peer-reviewed journals and presented four oral and seven poster communications at national and international conferences.
