Ricardo Rocha completed a PhD in Conservation Biology in 2017 by the Faculty of Sciences, University of Lisbon, a MSc in Conservation Science in 2008 by Imperial College London and a BSc in Environmental Biology in 2007 by the University of Lisbon. Ricardo then completed a 2-year postdoc at the Conservation Science Group, University of Cambridge, followed by a second postdoc at CIBIO-InBIO (Research Centre in Biodiversity and Genetic Resources), funded by Madeira's Regional Agency for the Development of Research, Technology & Innovation. Ricardo was then awarded a FCT Junior Research fellowship in the 3rd Edition of the Individual Call to Scientific Employment Stimulus, which he started in October 2021 at the Research Centre in Biodiversity and Genetic Resources (BIOPOLIS/CIBIO-InBIO), associated with the University of Porto and University of Lisbon. Since September 2023 Ricardo is an Associate Professor in Conservation Science at the Department of Biology of the University of Oxford. Ricardo Rocha published over 90 articles in journals.
