Ana Sofia Barbosa Pereira

Sofia Barbosa Pereira, Ph.D. student in Regional Development and Economic Integration at the University of Santiago of Compostela (Spain), holds a Bachelor and a Master Degree in Communication Sciences from the University of Minho (Portugal) since 2009 and 2011. During her studies, she performed an Erasmus mobility at the Faculty of Electrical and Computer Engineering of the University of Maribor (Slovenia). After working for some years in the International Relations Office of UMinho, she is currently coordinating the Internationalization Office of UMinho's School of Engineering (EEUM), being responsible for the development and implementation of the EEUM's Strategic Internationalisation Plan and for the definition, in articulation with the Presidency, of the School's internationalization policies. She has expertise in technical support to operational coordination, monitoring, and support to the development of initiatives related to the internationalisation of education, namely in the scope of academic cooperation and mobility. Sofia also has skills in project management, quality assurance and implementation of european projects, especially under the Erasmus+ scheme, as well as in the dissemination and exploitation activities. Sofia has experience with national and international projects as well as with International Agreements and Memoranda of Understanding. In addition to supporting the preparation of european project proposals (Erasmus+/H2020), Sofia has also been/is a team member of several projects, working on their implementation.
