My academic journey began with a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry, which I completed in June 2021 at the Science School of the University of Minho. I further pursued my studies in the Master of Science in Molecular Genetics, graduating in December 2023 from the same institution. Currently, I'm expanding my knowledge with a Master in Bioinformatics at the Informatics department, which started in September 2023. This experience and expertise will bring, much needed knowledge to pursue complex bioinformatic analysis of already collected data in the research group into which I'm integrated. My passion for research is evident in my role as a researcher at the Institute for Life and Health Sciences Research, where I'm actively contributing to the field by participating in two articles in scientific journals, and many projects aiming to characterize novel molecular mechanisms in Alzheimer's disease and Down Syndrome neurodegeneration. Beyond academics, I've spearheaded the organization of four events and actively participated in others. My commitment extends to project work, where I'm receiving a Master's Student Fellowship in one project and participating in another. My areas of expertise encompass bioinformatics, molecular biology, biochemistry, human genetics, and neuroscience. This diverse skillset allows me to approach challenges from a multifaceted perspective.
