My name is Inês Catarina Campos de Oliveira. I am 25 years old, and I live in Coimbra, Portugal. From early on, I showed
a high regard for science and scientific research. These interests led me to enroll in the bachelor’s degree in Biology at
the University of Coimbra, a course I completed in 2019. Later that year, I applied for a master’s degree in Biochemistry,
also taught at the University of Coimbra, which I finished in September 2021. As for my master’s thesis, encompassed in the
oncobiology field, entitled "Parthenolide: therapeutic potential in multiple myeloma resistant to proteasome inhibitors",
it allowed me to put into practice techniques such as RNA and DNA extraction, PCR and flow cytometry, as well as to establish
in vitro cultures. Additionally, I consider myself as a committed, curious, fast-learning, resilient, altruistic person
with a good team spirit. My ultimate goal is to pursue an academic career embracing scientific research, teaching and helping
to create new knowledge in order to aid and treat people.
