I have extensive knowledge and skills in both molecular and cell biology, ranging from basic techniques such as recombinant DNA and Western Blot, to more advanced techniques like CRISPR/Cas9 technology. Additionally, I have valuable experience in both confocal and live-imaging microscopy. My work has focused on investigating membrane contact sites and analyzing the dynamics of different organelles at these regions, including ER, lysosomes, mitochondria, and lipid droplets. Additionally, my research has delved into molecular neurosciences, exploring the mechanisms underlying neurodegenerative diseases such as Alzheimer's disease (via the study of the APP gene) and Parkinson’s disease (via the study of the VPS13C gene). I have contributed to the field by designing and developing new tools, including KO cell lines, plasmids encoding tagged proteins, and a polyclonal antibody, which through extensive validation proved to vastly outperform the antibodies commercially available.
