Jorge Meira is graduated in Technology and System Information from Minho University, Portugal, in 2012. Worked several years in the private sector developing Web applications and received his master's degree in Informatics - Knowledge and System Information from School of Engineering, Polytechnic of Porto, Portugal, in 2017. He is currently a Ph.D. student in the Department of Computer Science at University of A Corñua. He is a Master Contracted Researcher at the Research Group on Intelligent Engineering and Computing for Advanced Innovation and Development (GECAD) and an Invited Adjunct Professor at Instituto Politécnico do Porto - Instituto Superior de Engenharia do Porto. He has participated or participates in several national and international research projects. His main areas of interest are semi and unsupervised Machine Learning techniques used to predict and identify anomalies. He is currently working on a project that consists of the development of a distributed anomaly detection algorithm capable of handling large amounts of data and with an automatic hyperparameter tuning mechanism.
