Pedro Mêda holds and Msc degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management at University of Porto, Faculty of Engineering (Portugal). Works as Civil Engineer, Project Manager and Researcher at ICS - Instituto para a Construção Sustentável (former IC) an interface institution of University of Porto with industry. He is also specialist member of Ordem dos Engenheiros in Construction Management and was engaged in several roles in this entity administrative councils. He is continuously involved in applied research, R&D&I Projects and Training actions with construction industry stakeholders either in Portugal or abroad, mainly in information systems, information requirements through construction life-cycle, digital product passports, digital building logbooks, costs and public procurement. He has also several participations as part of teams forecasting relevant investments such as the Independent Technical Commission for the location of the new airport for the Lisbon area. Had several participations in education discussions and worked on a comparative study for the definition of conpetencies for Civil Engineers. He is member of ISO/TC 59 SC 13, CIB W078, EC3 HDI - Human Data Interface and DSCiBE – Digital Supply Chain in Built Environment committees. Is Associate Editor of the ICE - Journal of Management, Procurement and Law and reviews for other scientific journals. He is since 2018, member of the ENAEE Label Committee. Recently, he is a PhD canditate in Univeristy of Porto with co-supervision from NTNU and is Invited Assistant lecturing Construction Management and Digitalisation in Civil Engineering graduate and post-graduate degrees in the Civil Engineering Department of University of Porto.
