Daniel Moraes is currently a PhD candidate studying Geoinformatics at the Information Management School - NOVA IMS, Universidade Nova de Lisboa. His PhD is funded by Fundação Para a Ciência e Tecnologia and Portugal Space. He obtained his master's degree in Geographic Information Systems and Science at NOVA IMS in 2021. He has been engaged in scientific research since his bachelor's degree, having held research grants from Universidade Federal da Bahia, School of Agriculture (University of Lisbon) and General-Directorate of the Territory (Portugal). He also worked as a GIS analyst in Geoglobal Sistemas de Informação Geográfica, Portugal. His field of work includes remote sensing, earth observation, data science and geographic information systems.
