CARLA F. SANTOS concluded the PhD in 2019 at Faculty of Engineering of the Universidade do Porto, degree obtained with Cum laude distinction. The main focus of the research was the biomechanics simulation. Computational models of the semicircular canal were built in order to improve the empirical manoeuvres of vestibular rehabilitation in patients with imbalance problems, which was developed in collaboration with clinical ENT teams. The developed work was disseminated in several papers publishes in ISI journals, and in the main international and national conferences in biomechanics, computational modelling and audiology disorders. Addittionaly, two book chapters were published in the biomechanics field journals. She supervised 1 MSc thesis (2 papers (1 published/ 1 submitted)). She has participated as a Post-Doctoral Fellow in 1 project with Clínica do Dragão, Espregueira-Mendes Sports Centre - FIFA Medical Centre of Excellence. Currently, she is a Researcher at INEGI, in the the H2020 EU project - InterLynk.
