R2 researcher working at the intersection of machine learning and computational neuroscience. Interests and expertise include modelling and simulation of neural dynamics, interdisciplinary methods and algorithms for the analysis of neurophysiological systems and engineering problems, model reduction of neurons and networks of neurons, numerical methods, multiscale modeling, machine-learning with a focus on physics-informed neural networks, computer vision, explainable AI. Completed the bachelor in Automatic Control and Computer Science in 2009 at University Politehnica of Bucharest (UPB), Master in Integrated Information Systems in 2011 at UPB, and Doctor of Philosophy in Use of Reduction Methods in Multiscale Modeling of Complex Systems in 2019 at UPB, Numerical Modelling Laboratory. She is the executive coordinator of the Life and Health Technology research line at INESC-ID: Instituto de Engenharia de Sistemas e Computadores Investigação e Desenvolvimento em Lisboa, and an integrated researcher of the Information and Decision Support Systems research unit, currently working under the scope of project NextGenAI: Center for Responsible AI.
