I am a genetics researcher with experience in DNA extraction, statistical analysis, and genetic association studies. I hold a master's degree in Evolution and Human Biology from the University of Coimbra, where I specialized in genetic and anthropology research methodologies. I contributed to the Centro de Investigação em Antropologia e Saúde (CIAS) as a Research Assistant and intern. During this time, I completed two curriculum projects focused on the genetic analysis of human populations. These projects included everything from data collection to advanced analysis using tools such as SPSS, PLINK and Arlequin. My academic journey began with a bachelor’s degree in Biotechnology from Politécnico de Coimbra, which provided me with a solid scientific foundation.
