Miguel Duarte Ferro. I have completed my Master's degree in Quality in Analytical Laboratories in 2013 from the University of Algarve (Portugal), Central South University (China) and Universitat de Barcelona (Spain), and a Degree in Environmental Engineering in 2009 from the Instituto Politécnico de Beja. At the moment I am a PhD student, from the University of Evora, with a tesis entitled "Study of Portuguese extra virgin olive oils according to the producing agricultural method: A qualitative and ecological approach". In complment to this, I have also devloped a great interest in the organoleptic analisis of virgin olive oils, to which I was granted a full scholarship to participate in the "XX edición del Curso Internacional de Experto en Cata de Aceites de Oliva Vírgenes", at the University of Jaén, 2023. During the year of 2024 I have been working together with ACOS - Associação de Produtores do Sul and CEBAL to start and impelment a new laboratory for the organoleptic analisis of virgin olive oils, establishing a new tasting panel in the region of Beja - Soth of Portugal, where I will act as panel leader.
