Dinarte has a degree in Biochemistry, a master's degree in Pharmaceutical Chemistry and a postgraduate degree in Metabolism - Biopathology and Experimentation. Throughout his academic career, he made a point of acquiring professional experience in different areas to broaden his personal skills and professional versatility. He began his research activity in the area of peptide synthesis and evaluation of the activity of synthesized compounds, using techniques of purification and molecular characterization, such as HPLC and NMR. At FFUP, his work was developed in microbiology, performing biological assays to identify and quantify the biological activity of chemical compounds and identify the mechanisms of action involved. Later, he had the opportunity to work in the Department of Organic and Macromolecular Chemistry at the University of Ghent, where he participated in a project characterized by greater complexity and automation of the processes involved in peptide synthesis, as well as performing techniques such as SDS-PAGE and PCR at the VIB-UGent Center for Medical Biotechnology. In 2020, he decided to pursue a second master's degree in Metabolism - Biopathology and Experimentation to update his knowledge in the field of Molecular Biology, Cellular Biology and Biotechnology. The following year, he was a member of the Quality Control team at Flow Eighteen38, where he was able to put into practice his knowledge acquired outside the academic context. Currently, he is a researcher in the BioMark@UC research group at the University of Coimbra, actively participating in the development of molecularly imprinted materials with affinity for biomarkers of interest. From a pedagogical point of view, he has had the opportunity to supervise laboratory classes and to accompany students on academic internships. He believes that the broad laboratory experience and professional versatility acquired throughout his academic and professional career were fundamental to his formation as a researcher and enabled him to work in different areas.
