Francisco Miguel Ribeiro Proença Brójo helds PhD in Mechanical Engineering from Cranfield University (UK) in 2004, with a thesis titled "Improvement of the Thermal Performance of Louvered Fin Heat Exchangers". He is currently Assistant Professor at the UBI Department of Aerospace Sciences. He has lectured and researched in several disciplines, mainly in the areas of Aircraft Propulsion , Aircraft Manufacturing and Maintenance, Thermal Engines, Automotive Propulsion and Heat Transfer. He supervised more than 50 MSc. Dissertations (concluded) and 2 PhD Thesis (concluded). He participated in a number of funded research projects, including "SpaceProp - MHD Numerical Modelling in nozzles of MPD Thrusters for Space Propulsion" (FCT) and has authored/co-authored several publications in scientific journals and international conferences.
