Iara has a Bachelor's degree in Product Design and Technology (2021) and a Master's degree in Product and Digital Technology (2023) from the University of Aveiro. Her master's thesis was focused on the deposition of filaments on free-form geometry structures. Since April 2022, she has been involved in research in various projects, such as "LEATHER3D - Development of Leather Solutions for Additive Manufacturing" (POCI-01-0247-FEDER-047237), where she was responsible for developing new leather-based products through additive manufacturing, using 3DP and FFF technologies. She was also in charge of transforming PET into suitable raw material for 3D printing research projects and the production of new packaging in the "REAP - Recycling and Refund of Aluminum and PET Packaging - pilot system" (09CALL#1_REAP) project. Currently, she is working on the "DRIVOLUTION - Transition to the Factory of the Future" (C644913740-00000022) project, which aims to create solutions for digital transformation in the automotive industry. She has participated in 2 oral presentations and 5 poster sessions, and she has one article published in an indexed specialized journal. She was awarded the 1st prize in the "STARTUP ZERO 2022" competition. Additionally, Iara is currently serving as a monitor for the curriculum units "Principles and Applications of Materials" and "Materials and Technologies" in undergraduate academic courses.
