Sara Margarida Soares Ramos Fernandes - PhD in Psychology, in the area of Clinical Neuropsychology, from the University of Salamanca (Spain), Master's degree in Psychology, in the area of Cognitive Sciences, from the University of Minho and Bachelor in Clinical Psychology, from the University Institute of Health Sciences of the North. She has completed a post-graduate course in Clinical Neuropsychology and several non-degree courses in areas of psychological and pedagogical intervention. She has been a university lecturer since 2000, beginning her career as an Assistant Professor, rising to the rank of Assistant Professor in December 2009. She has been an Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychology and Education at Universidade Portucalense (UPT) since September 2015. She is the Coordinator of the 2nd cycle of studies in Psychology in the Master's in Clinical and Health Psychology at Universidade Portucalense. She is a member of the coordination team of the Portucalense Clinical Centre for Psychology (C2P2) and an integrated member of the CINTESIS@RISE, CINTESIS.UPT at Portucalense University. She has collaborated on national and international research projects and is a peer reviewer for SCOPUS and WoS scientific journals. She is a founding member and president of the General Assembly of the Portuguese Society of Neuropsychology (SPNpsy), a full member of the Portuguese Psychologists Order (OPP) with an advanced specialization in Neuropsychology, specialist in clinical and health psychology and a member of the American Psychological Association (APA). In terms of knowledge transfer to companies and institutions, she was a consultant and coordinator of the multidisciplinary technical team at a neurological rehabilitation clinic. As a neuropsychologist, she works in private practice. She is a trainer on non-degree courses in neuropsychology. Her research interests focus on neuropsychology and neurosciences, in the context of neurodevelopmental disorders and aging.
