Tiago António Rolino Machado Carvalho Vieira

Tiago Rolino is a Law Graduated from the Universidade Católica Portuguesa, was a lawyer from 2003 to 2017, and is a Master's student on Women's Studies: Gender, Citizenship and Development at the Universidade Aberta (UAb). Is a Junior Researcher at the Centre for Social Studies (CES), where he is Project Manager of the Permanent Observatory for Justice (OPJ) Project Apoio ao Combate à Corrupção em Moçambique (Support the Fight against Corruption in Mozambique). He helped in the conception and creation of the Observatório masculinidades.pt of the Centro de Estudos Sociais (Social Studies Center), and is one of its researchers, namely in the field of youth studies where he was research and project manager until 31st August 2023. He was a member of the project's research team of project IgualPro - As profissões não têm género (coordinated by CITE - Commission for Equality in Labour and Employment) and first author of the scientific study on gender stereotypes in career choices. From January 2021 until the end of the project (30th June 2023) he was part of the portuguese team that coordinates the project KINDER - Tackling gender stereotypes in education and early childhood: building a Gender-Responsive Pedagogy in Children's Education, and from January 2022 until 31st August 2023 was also part of the portuguese team that coordinates the project X-MEN - Masculinities, Empathy, Non-violence. Between 2019 and 2021 he was a researcher in the Portuguese team that coordinated the project PARENT - Promotion, Awareness Raising and Engagement of men in Nurture Transformations and the project KINDER - Tackling gender stereotypes in education and early childhood: building a Gender-Responsive Pedagogy in Children's Education and between 1 January 2018 and 31 December 2019 he was part of and co-coordinated the Portuguese team (from CES) of the project EQUI-X - Promoting innovative-strategies addressing the construction of gender identities and engaging men and boys in non-violent models of masculinity. Since December, 2019 he is one of the representatives of the Junior Researchers at the CES Bodies. From 2017 the has been part of the statutory bodies and volunteered at Associação Projecto Criar, an association that provides legal, clinical, social services to women, children, youth and families in cases of civil guardianship, educational guardianship, in processes of promotion and protection and in criminal cases, particularly when they are victims of sexual abuse, mistreatment, domestic violence and human trafficking.
