Raquel Guiomar is a PhD student in Clinical Psychology at CINEICC (Center for Research in Neuropsychology and Cognitive and Behavioral Intervention) at the Psychology and Educational Sciences Faculty from the University of Coimbra. Her PhD project is focused on the study of the therapeutic potential of the cerebellum in the negative symptoms of schizophrenia. Raquel completed the Integrated Master's Degree in Psychology in 2015 at the same University. Between 2016 and 2020 Raquel worked as a Research Assistant on two FCT funded projects, firstly at the "Fear Memory Project - A Neuromodulation Study in Anxiety Disorders" (REF: PTDC/MHC-PAP/5618/2014), and then at the "iACT with Pain Project: an ICT-delivered intervention for self-management of chronic pain" (REF: POCI-01-0145-FEDER-028829|PTDC/PSIGER/28829/2017). Raquel has published work in international peer-reviewed journals and has presented posters and oral presentations at several international and national conferences. Raquel's main research interests are: schizophrenia; psychosis; cerebellum; fMRI; non-invasive neuromodulation; peripartum depression; third-generation cognitive and behavioral therapies.
