Pedro Novo Melo completed his PhD in Business Management in 2015 at the School of Economics and Management of the University of Minho and his master’s in human resources management in 2010 at the same institution. He currently works as a Teaching Coordinator at the School of Management of the Polytechnic of Cávado and Ave (IPCA), focusing on business management, particularly small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). His academic contributions include numerous articles in journals, book chapters and authored books. He has received two professional awards and participated in various academic events. Melo has been the principal investigator on four projects and researcher on six additional projects, collaborating with several co-authors. His research interests include HR management, performance evaluation, recruitment, training and people analysis.
