Alexandre Miguel Santos Jorge completed the Integrated Master in Chemical Engineering on 2022/07/26 at the University of Coimbra with a final course average of 15/20. He participated in 11 events and 1 radio interview, mostly related to the various entrepreneurship projects in which he was involved throughout his academic path and his scientific work in the CirRe-Dyeing project (https://doi.org/10.54499/DRI/India/0044/2020), receiving 1 international entrepreneurship award and 1 best poster award. Since December 2022, he has published 1 techno-scientific article, 8 scientific articles in high-impact factor scientific journals (all of them Q1) and 1 provisional patent request, from all his scientific work in two distinct areas of investigation: Development of Edible films as biodegradable food packaging from agrifood residues; and Liquid-Liquid Extraction using Aqueous Biphasic Systems (ABS) and their thermodynamic equilibria. His article "Unravelling the molecular interactions behind the formation of PEG/PPG aqueous two-phase systems" has also been selected as a 2024 HOT PCCP article by the editors of this journal.
