Iolanda Silva holds a Master’s degree in Marine Biology and Conservation (2023) from ISPA - Instituto Universitário de Ciências Psicológicas, Sociais e da Vida and a Bachelor's degree in Marine Biology (2020) from the University of Algarve. She is currently a Research Intern at the Interdisciplinary Centre of Marine and Environmental Research (CIIMAR) at the University of Porto, contributing to the CETUS Project – Cetacean Monitoring in Macaronesia. With a strong interest in behavioural sciences, animal communication, and the ecology and conservation of cetaceans, she has developed expertise in cetacean observation both on land and at sea. Her research has been presented at both national and international conferences, and she has published in peer-reviewed journals. Additionally, she has supervised undergraduate students.
