Patrícia Rebelo is a Researcher at REQUIMTE/LAQV, being part of Grupo de Reação e Análises Químicas (GRAQ) at Superior Institute of Engineering of Porto (ISEP). She has a degree in Biochemistry (University of Trás-os-Montes e Alto Douro, 2012), a pos-graduation in Applied Biochemistry (University of Minho, 2013) and a master degree in Health Sciences (University of Minho, 2014). In 2017, she was awarded with an FCT PhD scholarship, and received her PhD in Sustainable Chemistry by the University of Porto (FCUP) in 2022. Currently, she is a Researcher at REQUIMTE/LAQV-GRAQ, integrating the BioRESET project(BiodivRestore-406/DivRestore/0002/2020), where she is involved on the development of Molecularly Imprinted Polymers (MIP)-based sensors for pharmaceuticals detection in waters. In the framework of the same project, she visited the University of Oviedo (Spain) to work and discuss the development of electrochemical sensors. She has been supervising 2 MSc students of Chemical Engineering from ISEP and 1 PhD student, and collaborating with ongoing R&D projects. Since 2016, she has also been involved in teaching activities by assisting in laboratory classes on (Bio)sensors development and application of BSc/MSc programs in Biomedical Engineering (ISEP). Patrícia Rebelo published 13 papers in international peer-reviewed (ISI) journals, including 8 as first author; author/co-author 13 communications in national/international scientific meetings. Currently, her main research interest is focused on environmental quality, through the development of portable and sustainable platforms to track emerging pollutants in water.
