Ricardo Silva Peres (Member, IEEE) received the M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees in electrical and computer engineering from NOVA-SST, Portugal, in 2015 and 2019, respectively, specializing in the application of AI in smart manufacturing. Since 2014, he has been a Researcher with UNINOVA—CTS, working with the intersection of AI, robotics, and data science. He is currently an Invited Professor with NOVA-SST, integrating the Department of Electrical Engineering. He has participated in several national and international research projects. He is the author of several publications in high-ranking international scientific journals and conference proceedings (peer-reviewed). His research interests include industrial AI, cyber-physical systems, and multi-agent systems. He has been a member of the IEEE IES Technical Committee on Industrial Agents, since 2018, and the IEEE Standards Association P2805.1/2/3 Edge Computing Nodes Working Group, since 2019.
