Civil Engineer from Federal University of Pará, Brazil (2002), Master's degree in Geotechnical Engineering from Federal University of Ouro Preto, Brazil (2012) and PhD in Civil Engineering (Geotechnics) from Faculty of Engineering of the University of Porto, Portugal (2019). He has experience in Civil Engineering, with emphasis on earthworks and railtracks, working mainly on the following topics: rail geotechnology, tropical soils and alternative raw materials, embankments on soft soils, slope stability, dams and tailings storage facilities. He has extensive experience in big companies, having performed various technical and executive roles. He is a founding member of the North Regional Nucleus of the Brazilian Association for Soil Mechanics and Geotechnical Engineering (ABMS), having been part of the North Nucleus board for two consecutive biennia. He was a member of the commission for the implementation of the undergraduate in Railway Engineering and Logistics at UFPA, where he also held lecturing and research positions. He is a reviewer of scientific papers in national and international journals, and a member of international research groups in inter-institutional collaboration. He works as an engineer, researcher, lecturer and consultant for geotechnical projects.
