Marc Veldhoen. Completed the Doctor of Philosophy in Molecular Immunology in 2003/05 by National Institute for Medical Research and Master in Medical Biology in 2000/08 by Universiteit Utrecht. He was a postdoctoral scientist at the NIMR/Mill hill, London, UK before becoming a Senior Investigator Scientist. He set up his own lab in 2010 in Cambridge, UK. He was Principal Investigator at Instituto de Medicina Molecular from 2016 - 2024. Since 2024 he is a senior PI at the Gulbenkian Institute for Molecular Medicine and Professor of Basic Immunology at the Universidade de Lisboa Faculdade de Medicina since 2018 He published >100 articles in journals, with >24.000 citations including in Nature, Science and Cell. Has 1 book(s). Has received 4 awards and/or honours. Participates and/or participated as Principal investigator in over 25 project(s). Has successfully supervised 6 PhD students, co-supervised many others, numerous MSc, Erasmus and undergraduate students, and 8 postdoctoral researchers.
