Dra Ana Pires (AP), a Researcher at IFIMUP/FCUP, Porto, whose position was secured through awarded funding from the CEECIn5ed, funded by FCT for a project focused on pioneering power harvesting systems based on thermomagnetic effects. She earned her PhD in Physics in 2019@UP, specializing in Energy Harvesting. AP’s research primarily explores thermal management, energy harvesting, additive manufacturing including screen-printing, and micro/nanomaterials for multifunctional applications, with a current focus on thermoelectric and magnetocaloric Materials. She has published 50 peer-reviewed journal articles, holding an h-index=17 (Scopus source). She is the PI since 2023 of an international project PESSOA which Toulouse University is partner. AP is actively involved in outreach activities, including conference organization and scientific dissemination. Her outstanding scientific research was recognized at national/international levels by winning scientific prizes, highlighting the EMRS spring meeting award 2017. To data, AP already count with officially (co)supervisor of 19 young researchers (PhD, MSc and BSc). She has experience in coordination roles, including being the WP Leader of the EIC-pathfinder project and managing day-to-day lab operations.
