I am an interdisciplinary researcher at the interface between environmental and social sciences. My current research focuses on climate change, water supply and resilience in cities, by exploring the ways how urban societies approach and respond to hydro-climatic challenges. While during my PhD I used the lens of environmental history to understand past adaptation to climate extremes, within my postdoc I expanded my research towards contemporary institutional and social arrangements that foster socio-environmental just, resilient and sustainable transformations. My initial training was as environmental scientist at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB, 2010). In 2009, I joined the Ethnoecology Lab of the Institute of Environmental Science and Technology (ICTA-UAB) as a research assistant in the international project of "Local ecological knowledge and quality of life in the Western Ghats, South India". I continued my training as a researcher through a Master's degree in Environmental Studies at the UAB (2012). Moreover, to achieve an interdisciplinary career, I also conducted the BA in Socio-cultural Anthropology (URV, 2013). In 2017, I finished my PhD in Environmental Sciences at ICTA-UAB, a research institute currently awarded with the María de Maeztu distinction, as a member of the Laboratory of Socio-ecological Systems in a Global World (LASEG). My doctoral research examined how Mediterranean societies coped with droughts over the long-term and contributed to establish novel methodologies to reconstruct past human adaptations and to propel cross-fertilization between climate history and climate change scholarship. In 2017, I started as a postdoc at the Urban Transformation and Global Change Laboratory (TURBA) at Universitat Oberta de Catalunya (UOC) and in 2018 I was awarded my current Juan de la Cierva-Formación fellowship.
