I am Post Doc researcher at the Genetic Diversity group of I3S /IPATIMUP (sponsored by FCT -SFRH/BPD/114927/2016) with more than 15 years of expertise in Population Genetics. I am co-author of 35 peer-reviewed papers in international journals (highest impact factor of 41, 74% Q1) with an h-index of 16 and the Principal Investigator of 2 FCT funded projects (PTDC/IVC-ANT/2421/2014, 194.026€ and RESEARCH 4 COVID 19- 198_596862267, 30.000€). I have been interested in using genetics to infer the past and evolution of human populations as well as genetic susceptibility to diseases. In recent years, I have acquired competences in high-throughput analyses (genomics, transcriptomics, methylomics and microbiomics), both in designing the laboratorial workflow and in conducting the computational analyses.
