Nelson Escravana. Director of Cybersecurity Unit at INOV - Instituto de Engenharia de Sistemas e Computadores Inovação, has more than 25 years of professional experience in the fields of telecommunications and information security and is a regular consultant for national and European entities. He is responsible for conducting security audits within incident prevention and response, analysis and solution design. It also regularly conducts training sessions and seminars on cybersecurity and has participated in dozens of European and National R&D projects. He is the author of several scientific research papers on blockchain, peer-to-peer networks, distributed systems, cryptographic protocols, intrusion detection systems and cyber incident impact analysis. He completed his Computer Science and Engineering degree in 2002 at the University of Lisbon Instituto Superior Técnico. He is a member of the Board of Directors, the Executive Board at INOV. He is the executive manager for IT and Cybersecurity of INESC Serviços, a shared services center of the INESC group in Lisbon, including the INESC CSIRT (part of national CSIRT network).
