Hamed Akhavan holds the post of contracted investigator at INEGI (Porto) where his research primarily is focused on aeroelasticity of composite panels. H Akhavan also holds the post of invited lecturer in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Porto, Portugal. H Akhavan has a particular interest in nonlinear dynamics of advanced composite plates used in aerospace structures. H Akhavan has more than 10 years of investigation experience on composites with curvilinear fibres and his works are published in 20 pear review journals, where there are totally more than 1100 citations to his papers (ref: Scopus). H Akhavan has a Scopus author h-index of 14. H Akhavan serves as an academic editor in the ISI journal `Advances in Materials Science and Engineering´, Hindaw Publication. His current scientific interest is green composites.
