Sara Sofia Vaz Paralta

Sara Paralta, PhD in Economics since 2010 from the University of Lisbon, Instituto Superior de Economia e Gestão and the Université Paris-Dauphine - PSL, completed her Master's Degree in Monetary and Financial Economics in 2002 from the Instituto Superior de Economia e Gestão, University of Lisbon and her Bachelor's Degree in Economics in 1998 from ISCTE-Instituto Universitário de Lisboa. She is an Invited Associate Professor at the University of Lisbon, Instituto Superior de Ciências Sociais e Políticas. She also teaches at the Universidade Autónoma de Lisboa. Since 2014 she has been teaching on the Master's Degree in Actuarial Science, the result of international co-operation between ISEG and Universidade Eduardo Mondlane in Mozambique. She is a researcher in Social Sciences and Management at the Centre for Research in Social Sciences and Management (CSG) / Centre for Studies on Africa and Development in the Economics, Development and International Cooperation line of research. She is also a researcher at the Centre for Research in Economic and Business Sciences at UAL. She has published several articles in specialised journals. She has book chapter(s) and book(s). She has supervised undergraduate and master's degree academic work and participated in several master's dissertation juries.
