Graduated in Sociology by the Faculty of Economics of the University of Coimbra, Portugal, and Master in Pedagogy of E-Learning. Currently, she is a independent presencial and online trainer, online monitor and tutor at the Open University of Portugal. As collaborating researcher at UID-FCT nº 4372, Laboratory of Distance Education and eLearning (LE@D), Universidade Aberta, Portugal, she collaborates in projects, such as in the area of e-mentoring, with book chapters and conference papers, co-written, and more recently, as participant in ReCoin-TaD network within the ENID Teach project. Her main research interests include non-formal and informal online teaching and learning, mainly concerning (intercultural) online communication, online tutoring and mentoring, virtual learning communities and virtual learning facilitation tools.
