Rute Moreira completed her Bachelor's Degree in Forensic and Criminal Sciences in 2013. In 2018, she achieved her Master's Degree in Quality Control by the Faculty of Pharmacy at University of Porto, her master's dissertation being related to the quality control of honey samples. Subsequently, she worked under a research fellowship in a project related to the anti-inflammatory activity of naproxen-dehydropeptide conjugates. Currently, she is attending the PhD in Pharmaceutical Sciences with a project entitled "Plants in pest management: recruiting novel insecticides in Guinea-Bissau species". During her scientific carreer, she published four articles and presented three posters.
