Ana Paula Fernandes Pereira

Critical thinking and curiosity have been the cornerstones of Ana Paula's journey as she nears the completion of her PhD in Pharmaceutical Sciences at the University of Porto, supported by a fellowship from the Fundação para a Ciência e a Tecnologia (FCT). Passionate about science and patient care, Ana Paula is driven to make a meaningful impact in healthcare through innovation and collaborative problem-solving. Before embarking on her PhD, Ana Paula earned a Master’s Degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences from the University of Porto, where she received the Sociedade Farmacêutica Lusitana Prize and the Cofanor Prize (Fundação Dr. Luís Rainha) for her outstanding academic performance. She also gained critical clinical experience through internships in hospital and community pharmacies, collaborating with healthcare professionals in diverse settings. Demonstrating her dynamism and commitment to continuous learning, Ana Paula has participated in numerous international internships, courses, and conferences, continually expanding her expertise and staying current with the latest knowledge and tools. Ana Paula has authored six peer-reviewed publications in high-impact journals, contributed to two funded scientific projects, and presented four oral and over ten poster communications at prestigious international conferences.
