Since BSc graduation (1998) till now I have developed research across many areas in the field of Chemistry. This included work in Organic Chemistry (1996-1998), Materials-Chemistry (2000-2003), Inorganic & Materials Chemistry & Catalysis (from 2004 onwards). The major area of research is Inorganic Materials Chemistry and Catalysis. This professional path provided me with skills developed across these research areas, while gathering a vast knowledge from it and becoming a focused specialist in the areas as evidenced by the research outputs. Carla Duarte Nunes, (Co)-autor of ca. 79 publications in international peer-reviewed journals, 2 conference proceedings, 5 book chapters and more than 100 communications or invited talks at international and national conferences, having an H-index of 28 (SCOPUS). Solid knowledge and hands-on experience with chromatography coupled with mass spectrometry (LC- and GC-MS), high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC), nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) infrared (FTIR) and electronic UV-Vis spectroscopy, and powder X-ray diffraction. Responsible for teaching undergraduate theoretical and lab courses; (Co-)Supervisor of several BSc undergraduate, master and doctorate students and two post-doc fellows. Member of the local organizing committees of several international-level conferences; Member of the: Portuguese Chemical Society; Team of FCT PhD Funded Program, Catalysis and Sustainability (CATSUS), 2013-2018, and Chemistry College, University of Lisboa. Frequent peer-reviewer of international chemistry journals. Participation in juries for the evaluation of several students in PhD, Master and BSc. Evaluator of international projects for Qatar National Research Fund and has be principal researcher or team member of 10 international and national competitive research projects. Associate editor of Catalysts journal (published by MDPI).
