I am an Assistant Researcher, individual CEEC, in the Cheminformatics lab (founded in 2002 by Prof. João Aires de Sousa) at LAQV@REQUIMTE, FCT-NOVA and my research focuses on the development of computational methods for drug discovery and materials (e.g. QSAR, QSPR, virtual screening, molecular docking). I published 41 papers in international peer review journals, 2 papers in national journals with referees and 8 papers in conference proceedings, resulting in more than 1000 citations and an h-index of 18 (https://scholar.google.at/citations?user=KgGwD-IAAAAJ&hl=en). Since 2017, more than half of the articles I have published have been as corresponding author, which clearly demonstrates the autonomy and independence of my research. I am a co-author of 13 patents of which 3 are international patents. My scientific recognition was supported: (i) I am in “World's Top 2% Scientists List” (https://elsevier.digitalcommonsdata.com/datasets/btchxktzyw/6) that identifies more than 100,000 influential researchers in 22 scientific areas and 174 disciplines, whose work has accelerated progress and productivity in their areas; (ii) I am part of the Editorial Board Member in Scientific Journals (Computational and Structural Biotechnology Journal (CSBJ); In silico Methods and Artificial Intelligence for Drug Discovery(Frontiers in Drug Discovery); 'Synthesis and Medicinal Chemistry of Marine Natural Products' of Marine drugs); (iii) I was guest Editor in Marine Drugs for two Special Issues; (iv) I am referee in several scientific Journals such as J.
