Carina Maranga completed the Master in Celular and Molecular Biology with Specialization in Neurobiology in 2016 by Universidade de Coimbra, Faculdade de Ciências e Tecnologia, and obtained the Biomedical Science Bachelor in 2014 from Universidade do Algarve. She attends the PhD in Bioengineering: Cell therapies and Regenerative Medicine by Universidade de Lisboa, Instituto Superior Técnico, since 2018. Carina published 3 articles in journals and 1 book chapter. Her work as author and co-author was presented in over 10 oral presentations and 18 poster presentations in national and international conferences. Carina participated in 8 events as workshops and meetings with Angelman Syndrome patients and also has received 4 awards. As Master student, she worked in an awarded projecto, then she received a Master fellowship and participated in a project from an industry (TEVA pharmaceutics) and now, as PhD Student, is working in a project that won two grants from a national and international foundations.
