PhD in Regenerative Medicine and Mechanism of Disease by NOVA University of Lisbon (2021), with studies in therapeutic targets for Diabetic Retinopathy. Currently part of the team of ALFA Score project at the Algarve Biomedical Center (ABC-RI) as a PhD Researcher. Particular interest in Chronic Diseases, Healthy Aging and Preventive Medicine. Supervised 2 MSc students, 3 scientific traineeships and new members of COVID-OP (NMS lab). In my scientific career, I achieved 8 peer-reviewed publications, 4 of them as first author or co-authorship. My publications have a total of 71 citations, with a H-INDEX of 5 (according to Scopus). I had 2 career breaks due to maternity leave (2016 and 2023).
