Rafael António Teixeira Clara received his Master's degree in History, specialising in Palaeography and Diplomatics, on March 17th, 2022, from the Faculty of Arts and Humanities of the University of Lisbon (FLUL), having previously completed his Bachelor's degree in History on july 23rd, 2018, from the same Faculty. He is the author of the master's thesis "O Notariado Público Português no reinado de D. Filipe I: Estudo Diplomático". Since 2022 he has been a doctoral student in History, specialising in Palaeography and Diplomatics, at the Faculty of Arts and Humanities of the University of Lisbon (FLUL). He has investigated the XVIth century portuguese notarial profession, studying the notary office and the men who served it. His main interests lie in Social and Institutional History, Paleography and Diplomatics.
