Eunice Barbosa, PhD in Clinical Psychology since 2019 from the Faculty of Psychology and Educational Sciences University of Coimbra, is an Invited Assistant Professor and Researcher at University of Maia - ISMAI (UMAIA), and Clinical Psychologist with specialization in Clinical and Health Psychology by the Portuguese Psychologists Order (OPP). She has been working as a researcher in the social sciences area, with an emphasis on psychology. Currently, she is a member of the main research team of the AURORA@COVID19-EU: Articulating a Unified Response to the Covid-19 Outbreak Reconstruction After loss in Europe (2021-1-PT01-KA220-VET-000033092), funded by ERASMUS+, working and specializing with international teams of researchers with experience in the field of grief. She is also one of the principals investigators in the research-action protocol established between UMAIA and ACES Santo Tirso/Trofa, developing projects in the area of depression and grief, with a view to improving the response to treatment for these problems in primary health care context. At same time, she has developed studies in the area of immersion and distancing in psychotherapy, continuing the project developed within the scope of her PhD, for which she was awarded a PhD scholarship financed by Portuguese National Foundation for Science and Technology (FCT; FRH/BD/77183/2011). Previously, she participated as a researcher in FCT (Randomized Clinical Trials) and EEA funded projects: PTDC/ PSI-PCL/103432/2008; EEA-Grants/PT06; PTDC/MHC-PCL/1991/2014, in which she was involved in the evaluation of clinical effectiveness in the treatments for depression (cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT)), elaboration of clinical intervention manuals, training of clinical psychologists/therapists and other health professionals, as well as in the intervention therapeutic using technological components. She has clinical experience in CBT, training in EFT, and training in grief psychological intervention. Her scientific production focused on the processes of change in psychotherapy, more specifically in the following themes: clinical change, depression, grief, cognitive-behavioral therapy, emotion focused therapy and e-Mental Health.
