Ana Catarina Couto Soares Guerra completed her PhD in Biomedical Engineering in February 2022, by Faculdade de Engenharia, Universidade do Porto. In 2016, she completed her Master Degree in Medicine and Molecular Oncology, by Faculdade de Medicina, Universidade do Porto. In 2013, she completed her BSc in Biochemistry, by Faculdade de Ciências and Instituto de Ciências Biomédicas Abel Salazar, Universidade do Porto. Her research is conducted at the Instituto de Engenharia Mecânica e Gestão Industrial (INEGI), where she currently contributes to an active FCT-funded R&D project (PTDC/EME-APL/3058/2021). Ana has expertise in applying computational models to study biological processes, particularly angiogenesis. She has authored 10 peer-reviewed journal articles, contributed a section to a book, organized an academic event, and co-supervised a Master’s thesis. Her work has been widely presented, with 23 oral presentations at national and international conferences, and she has contributed as an author or co-author to over 30 abstracts. Since 2023, Ana has taken on the role of project manager, where she oversees and coordinates multiple R&D projects within national and international consortia.
