José Miguel Campiña Pina obtained a degree in Chemistry from the University of Alicante (Spain) in 2001. After completing the Doctoral Courses of the Postgraduate Program in Materials Science at the same university (2004), he obtained the "Diploma de Estudios Avanzados" (DEA), which accredits his "Suficiencia Investigadora" (Research Sufficiency). He completed his Ph.D. in Chemistry at the Faculty of Sciences of the University of Porto in 2009. He has published 24 articles in international peer-reviewed specialized journals with over 1000 citations (h-index: 16). He works in the areas of Chemistry and Materials Engineering with emphasis on Surface Chemistry, Nanomaterials, and Electrochemistry. He has served as a judge/reviewer in over 100 peer-review recognized processes for journals in these areas. He has experience in supervising master's and doctoral students.
