Rúben Silva holds a Master in Civil Engineering (2010) from University of Aveiro and a PhD in Civil Engineering (2022) from the University of Porto. He is member of the Portuguese Association of Engineers (OE). He is currently a postdoctoral researcher at the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Porto (FEUP), and a Member of the Institute of R&D in Structures and Construction (CONSTRUCT). His main research interests are related to artificial intelligence, damage identification, railway bridges, masonry structures, structural testing and experimentation, structural health monitoring, model updating and validation. Rúben Silva was researcher in 4 R&D projects funded by FCT and EU programs in the field of railway infrastructures. Author of more than 35 scientific publications, including 11 international journal papers, 21 articles in international and national conferences, 3 international book chapters; and regular reviewer of 3 indexed journals.
