Tânia Pinto holds a PhD in Economics from the University of Porto in 2021, and currently works as Science Manager at ISPUP. During her PhD she dedicated to exploring the intricate relationship between research output, and economic growth, as evidenced in her doctoral thesis titled “Essays on research output, human capital, structural change, and economic growth.” The award she received, particularly the 10th edition of the Call for Papers on the “Impact of Science on Economy and Society in Portugal” in July 2023, further attest to the significance of her work in driving positive change in the scientific community. Throughout her academic journey, she has acquired hands-on experience in research project management, having successfully managed various national and European R&D projects, and in human resources management.
