Laísa Braga Kappler graduated in Civil Engineering from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS) in 2017. She completed her Master's in Transports Systems Engineering in 2020 at the Federal University of RioGrande do Sul. She is working towards a doctorate in Doctoral Program in Transport Systems (DPTS) at Instituto Superior Técnico (IST), University of Lisbon, and has a research fellowship rent from the MIT Portugal Program. She is an integrated member of the Civil Engineering Research and Innovation for Sustainability (CERIS) at Instituto Superior Técnico, University of Lisbon. She has been working on road traffic engineering topics with VISSIM traffic microsimulator for the past years. Nowadays, she carries out the effects of telework on travel behaviors, how to reduce the environmental impacts of transportation systems, and how to improve mobility towards more sustainable patterns.
