Ana Rita Garizo graduated in Biology and has a master's degree in Human Biology and Environment completed at the Faculty of Sciences, University of Lisbon in 2014 and 2016, respectively. Currently, she has a PhD degree in Biotechnology and Biosciences completed at the Instituto Superior Técnico, University of Lisbon in 2021. Her PhD studies had as main aim the development of a drug delivery nanosystem for lung cancer therapy. The thesis was developed in the Biological Sciences Research Group of the Institute for Bioengineering and Biosciences (iBB) at Instituto Superior Técnico, University of Lisbon, and in the Nanomedicines & Translational Drug Delivery Group (N&TDD) of the Institute for Research and Innovation in Health (i3S), University of Porto.
