Andreia Dias holds a Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering Sciences and a Master's degree in Chemical Engineering, both completed at the University of Aveiro, Portugal, in 2021 and 2023, respectively. During her master’s degree, she joined the Egichem group (part of CICECO – Aveiro Institute of Materials) as a volunteer researcher, developing Machine Learning models for transport properties modelling. In January 2023, she continued this modelling work, as a research fellow, working on the i9rCB project. In her master's thesis, she developed expertise in the use of supercritical fluids for polymer recovery. In February 2023, Andreia joined LEPEBE - Laboratory for Process Engineering, Environment, Biotechnology and Energy at Faculty of Engineering - University of Porto, as a researcher fellow for the H2Driven project H2Driven searching about e-methanol synthesis promoting to energy transition and global decarbonization. During her academic career, Andreia acquired a vast experience in simulation, design and optimization of chemical processes using different techniques and advanced software tools. She shows a high level of competence programming solving engineering problems, and conducting process studies, including economic feasibility study and the implementation of process control systems. Andreia Dias has been awarded for her dedication to the courses with scholarships as the top students at the University of Aveiro, every year. Additionally, she received two distinguished scholarships from DGES - Directorate General for Higher Education in 2019 and 2020. In 2024, she also received the Amélia Mello Foundation "Best Student" Award, awarded to the best master's finalist in the Chemistry Department at the University of Aveiro.
